SEMA grows network of state legislators Roughly 600 state lawmakers now belong to a multistate caucus created by Specialty Equipment Market Association, with 127 new members recruited just this year. The State Automotive Enthusiast Leadership Caucus is SEMA's attempt to build a network of industry supporters in all 50 state legislatures. Founded in 2005, the caucus "is a nonpartisan group of state legislators whose common thread is a love and appreciation of automobiles," according to the organization.
